• Before you go any farther Please read! With so many entertainment services out there claiming the same thing how do you know which one to choose? A Professional DJ will provide the positive atmosphere for your party by skillfully selecting and playing the music which will add that important element of crowd  interaction. Special events such as weddings can rekindle old relationships lost by time or form new friendships. Music can be relaxing, exciting, romantic, and inspirational as long as it is mixed properly, professional DJ's will keep everyone dancing at your event longer which contributes greatly to the enjoyment of your guests. When choosing music please remember that you will have many guests from all age groups attend your reception, the music you love is not always the best choice, please allow the DJ the opportunity to display his skills and play the music that is enjoyable to all! If you only want your music played at your event then you may not want to hire a professional DJ, my we suggest renting a PA system and plugging in an iPod. • When it comes to the choice of your entertainment, you don't want to have a disappointing occasion. Unfortunately, the DJ is often the last service chosen, much of the budget is spent on a venue, food, photographer, limo and clothing this "backward planning" often forces Brides and Party Planners to shop for the cheapest possible price. Most people will pay far more for their cake, flowers, or a Limo than they would for the most crucial ingredient of a party, and that is the entertainment. The Disc Jockey you select will be taking on the responsibility of over 80% of the success of your party and often gets less than 3% of the total budget, yet if the DJ is a poor performer or worse, doesn't show up, your entire investment is wasted, not just that 3%.

  • Take a look at these statistics:
  • 72% of all brides say they would have spent more time choosing their reception entertainment
Almost 100% say they would have spent more of their budget on the entertainment
When asked, 81% of guest say the thing they remember the most about a wedding is the entertainment
During wedding planning, Brides say their highest priority is their attire, followed by the reception site and caterer - reception entertainment is among the least of their priorities. Within one week after their reception, 78% of Brides say they would have made the entertainment their highest priority.

  • Disc Jockey Rates
  • Disc jockey rates vary based on talent, experience, emcee ability, service, coordination, equipment needed, music knowledge and most important personality.
  • Rates for the Pittsburgh DJ industry vary greatly, ranging from $800.00 to $2,000.00 with an average of $900.00 for a 4 hour reception. The best price is not always the best deal, especially when it comes to a wedding reception.
  • A professional Disc Jockey company will normally invest 12 to 30 hours   for your special day but it may appear that you are only paying for "4 hours." Consultations, music purchasing & editing, preparation, set-up and tear-down, education and other business related endeavors add up to the over success of your special occasion.
